Wall of Fame

So what after all,

Who knows it right all,

Not anyone at all,

But I want to get all,

All from the halls of fame.

What did I knew about fame,

Nothing at all,

But now I want it all,

For all to see me in the hall,

The hall of fame for all,

Though it doesn’t work for all.

Someone was coming for all,

Something was given to all,

For all to use it all,

It’s never until you lose it all,

That you see everything in all,

It’s your responsibility after all.

Go get it all,

All to yourself, not for all,

Am dying for it all,

For I have known a way to the hall.

Love serves better after all,

And my heart yearns for it all,

It knows how and where is all,

My antennae all aligned,

To tap energies from them all.

I filter shit and negativity from all,

To keep my aura clean above all,

Am not losing at all,

All I want is way to the fame hall.

But they say you lose it all,

Trying to get it all,

It’s all the same in the hall,

They are elites but not all.

Even the eyes can’t see all,

And if they did at all,

You’d have seen the keys to unlock all.

There is this great wall,

Next to the hall,

Keys hang there for all,

It’s never until your eye can see all,

That you can identify your key,

To unlock the door to the hall.

But on low key,

You’ll walk before all,

Not against the wall.

It was to be on the fore,

Now I can get it on my fore,

I fear nothing after all,

Fear is a tool for control.

We’ve been here before,

And I’m gonna do it all,

For me, fam and not for all,

I’m an icon from the hall.

HOW WELL BUILT IS YOUR SOCIAL CAPITAL?

Building positive relations with people within our circles create a sense of happiness, fulfillment and support. Getting along well with people create connections which are key to building social capital. Social capital can be defined as social networks built through relations among people sharing norms, values, identity and common understanding. In this context, social capital is narrowed to focus on ‘how well you know people and how they know you socially.’ That is achieved through interpersonal relationships and reciprocity.

“You are the sum total of the people you meet and interact with in the world. Whether it’s your family, peers, or co-workers, the opportinities you have and the things that you learn all come through doors that other people open for you” -Tanner Colby

Social capital, however, can’t be built overnight. It is developed through maintaining relationships that form social networks. To build strong networks, you need to get some acts right. It would work well if the people in your social networks make you feel of value and at ease. Be someone who people wanna talk to and be genuinely interested in other people, for a good course though. Things happen. Social capital can get you sailing through and open different doors that you never imagined of. For instance you can get jobs, promotions, even spiritual nourishment and learn new things from these networks. Your social capital can be an ingredient of success.

It would be mean if you only remember and value people when you are reaping from them. Such a behavior can ruin your social capital. Cultivate your social capital by doing simple things like; checking on people in your circle from time to time, creating friends wherever you go, keeping boundaries in your relationships and being open to learn as you grow in life. Being able to keep our existing circles alive helps us relate better with the new friends we meet. A simple way to keep our primary relationships on toe include; sending a simple hello message, making simple calls, commenting something positive on their timelines, birthday wishes and congratulating them on achievements like graduations, weddings etc.

Everyday we meet different people and remembering them all is quite a task. However, it would be wise taking note of those who share with you about anything that impacts your life. Take their contacts or address for keeps. These people could be your career guides tomorrow, or something better in your life. Also, be willing to share knowledge with others for in sharing we learn more about others and ourselves. Make people feel important, learn to appreciate them and recognizing the difference that exist between you and them. By so doing, you get an incredible experience in this world. Treat people as you would like to be treated. It is a two way thing. As you build your social capital, have in mind that your networks impact your social net-worth.

Getting it right in Relationships

There is that person who will always keep you up in life. Another life, a better life. They create a strong basis for our social life. A mutual closeness to express to one another at a deeper level is achieved in the long run.

“Someone to tell it to is one of the fundamental needs of human beings” -Miles Franklin

The way we relate with people says alot about us. Relationships can help us shape our personalities if well expressed. As a result, relationships become quite significant in the human life. However, in some instances we wake up in relationships that play out to be draining our energy. Then you are left to fight with your mind whether to let go or hang on. Fun indeed, but that is life and calls for balance in everything. In our day to day relations we learn alot, about others but much about us. Meeting people of all caliber whilst getting along well is no joke. You’ll meet meek, kind, generous, terrible people with “sick manifestations”, lunatics, narcissists, a few neutral beings and those with a cocktail of personalities. Othertimes you’ll meet friends who are mean even with ideas. They cooperate under-presser and mostly inactive in discussions. In group relationship(s), communication works to be the deal to stem a strong bond.

“When you stop expecting people to be perfect, you can like them for who they are” -Donald Miller

A relationship is built within an environment. The environment ought to be conducive for the relationship to thrive. You will need tools like ineterpersonal skills, an open mind and communication among others to create the environment. We live to solve things each day throughout life. Therefore, everyday is a new day. That calls for renewed energy each day. And probably that’s why we find it hard to cope with the same person everyday. But then, a balance of things is necessary in this life. Mistakes are there and it’s natural, my opinion, and normal to mess sometimes. However, owning your flaws and getting up helps solve issues fast.

“If you would be loved, love, and be loveable” -Benjamin Franklin

For the one person who is always there, cheers to a better life. These people are good for a better self-esteem, a rare thing in a toxic relationship. They’ll help you to understand yourself better and see things in a positive way. Relationships work better if all parties work close. Closeness and communication breath life into relationships.

Whole Foods or Food Supplements?

They say an idle mind is the devils workshop then I ask, what about an empty stomach? That reminds me of a reggae veteran Jah F. Jones who in his lyrics said “a hungry man is a angry man”, something I agree to. However, it’s never about filling the stomach but getting the required nutrients in the body. Nutrients like vitamins, calcium and magnesium are much needed in the body for overall maintenance of health. These nutrients are plenty in whole foods than in food supplements.

“The appetite is sharpened by the first bites” –Jose Rizal

Appetite is the driving urge to eat foods or take drinks. However, some people lack that drive thus have a poor eating habbit. In such cases, people opt to subtitute whole foods with supplements which are easy to take. As a result of poor appetite or no appetite at all for food, supplement pills have taken over and people seem interested so much in them. Of course the lazy in kitchen must have found these pills a remedy. Quite funny how the lazy mind about time wastage when it comes to cooking.

“Appetite, a universal wolf” -Shakespeare

Easy come, easy go. That’s what perhaps may happen to your health if you switch from whole foods to supplements without doctors advice. As much as these pills can supply the body with nutrients, they can’t compare to whole foods. However, people who don’t eat well or those consuming less calories than needed can take supplements. That would work well if you can take little amounts of whole foods in conjunction with the pills. Another category of people who need supplement pills are vegans limited to a variety of foods. Also, people with a medical condition affecting how their body absorbs nutrients or who have undergone surgery of their digestive track can take supplements.

“If thou rise with an appetite, thou art sure never to sit down without one” -William Penn

Therefore, it is advisable if you are not too aged or having a medical condition that’s making it hard for you to take whole foods, keep off supplements. Whole foods got greater nutrition, protective substances and essential fiber as compared to supplement pills.

Always consult with your doctor before you decide to use supplement pills. Food supplement pills are controlled by Food and Drugs Administartion. The body is tasked to keep check on dietary supplements among other functions, thus it’s advisable for supplement users to ckeck FDA website updates often.

Music, the deal to beat depression

Music has the power to sooth a heavy heart and lessen much stress. You may be a fan of music but never have known some mystery behind it. For your surprise, music is cure. I agree to a Rhumba song that goes “nyimbo ni sabuni ya roho, inapunguza mawazo.”The soothing impact in music got that healing power to relieve people from stress as they listen.

Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” -Plato

A recent research at Bournemouth University and Queens University Belfast found that music therapy had a significant impact on children suffering esteem issues and depression. The study compared treatment options administered to children suffering from various mental illness and found that children who received music therapy faired better than those who received other care options.

Ciara Reilly,Chief Executive of Every Day Harmony, the music therepy charity that was part of the research had this to say about the research;”music therepy has often been used with children and young people with particular mental health needs, but this is the first time its effectiveness has been shown by a definitive randomised controlled trail in a clinical setting. The findings are dramatic and underscore the need for music therapy to be made available as a mainstream treatment option. For a long time we have relied on anecdotal evidence and small-scale research findings about how well music therapy works. Now we have robust clinical evidence to show its benefitial effects. I would like to record my gratefulness to the Big Lottery Fund for its vision in providing the resources for this research to be carried out.

Music has healing power. It has the ability to take people out of themselves for a few hours.” -Elton John

This study was carried out between March 2011 to May 2014 and the study sample proved the viability of the research. As a result, for children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional problems, music therapy could be the ideal treatment method.

How to spice up your December celebrations.

The time to taste nice things is when you got free time to wander around the world. Christmas holiday is here and it’s time you get the best celebrations of every moment throughout the holiday. Here is how you can enjoy your eve.

Be creative in your kitchen

Like a kid would go by eating anything edible before them, get in your kitchen and pick some random ingredients.
-choose ingredients as per your interests and prepare them
-adopt unique way of cooking , normal is boring 😂
-serve your food with fruits you rarely serve.

Invite friends over

Keeping up with friends over the holiday, eating at almost every joint becomes the habit.Tag along friends and suggest various places to visit. The experience will amaze you.

Organize for a sweet-snack challenge with pals

Pals of your likes would make you best mates over the holidays. Challenge each other over various foods and snacks cooking techniques. Makes different foodstuffs giving it your best. Seat down for a round taste and enjoy the complexion

Feel the pride of a tourist and travel

Visit places and enjoy the Various delicacies offered. Tag along friends of your circle so they can help in suggesting places. Enjoy the experience to your best as this holiday won’t last long.

INTROVERTS SURVIVAL TACTICS THIS DECEMBER HOLIDAY

The long festive season is finally here full of activities and interactions. Due to the nature of December holiday celebrations, I took my time to mind my introvert friends. Being too occupied especially over Christmas holidays is among the things that could make introverts feel overwhelmed and anxious. Luckily, I got you ways to cope this season.

Pare down activities.

If you are more comfortable with sitting down with friends or family, scale down the number of events, activities you plan to attend or attent to so you can get enough time for yourself and all you wanna do.

“There is virtue in work and there is virtue in rest. Use both and overlook neither.” Alan Cohen.

Be punctual on parties.

As an introvert, arriving at your invited parties in time would give you the opportunity to chat with your hosts one on one and share more. It also guarantees you’ll avoid large crowds. You also get chance to see the whole picture of event before it starts especially when it’s not crowded.

“There’s only one moment in which you can arrive in time. if you are not there, you are either too early or too late.” Johan Cruijff

Be creative.

Come up with interesting things to do. To keep off anxiety think of a holiday party that involves some sort of activity.  This helps with reducing interactions with people and also keep people occupied with fun activities. There is less time for chatting thus an introvert would not feel off.

“The quality of a life is determined by its activities.” Aristotle.

Track your time.

Being able to account for your time relieves you of anxiety resulting to beating time. Introverts need to spend more time on themselves, therefore, accounting for time would sure grant you that.

A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.” Charles Darwin

Feel some pride in you.

Well, there is much said about pride and all, yes, but in this case the explanation is different. December holiday being the peak of celebrations, it’s expected human interaction to be high as well. And much interaction would definitely irritate an introvert. By seeing others donning better would cost an introvert some feelings. It’s best adviced you own your tastes and style and only mind that. Don’t see them more better, you too have it better than another.

“Comparing yourself to others is an act of violence against your authentic self.” Iyanla Vanzant

Mingle with at least one.

The few or many times you shall be attenting your holiday invitations and celebrations, at the least identify a fellow you can tag along for fun. Break the monotony of your introvert nature. Also, if they don’t vybe with you, do what makes you happy.

“Connecting with others is rewarding; it makes us feel like we’re not alone in the world.” Jonah Berger

Avoid certain discussions.

Your time is worth happiness. Avoid discussion on topics or subjects that don’t go well with you. It’s a holiday season and you should keep happy and entertained.

“In all debates, let truth be thy aim, not victory, or an unjust interest.” William Penn

Nice Holidays to You all who got to Read this.

Keeping up a great persona.

The Beauty of Art.

The nature of your day is shapped by your persona, direct or not. You might wake to an ugly day full of blunder. The mood, pace and energey you apply to face your day, repeatedly grows to a trait. You got the will to grow positive or negative traits. As a result, the character traits you adopt defines you. People can read us through our character which we can’t survive to fake. If you wanna build a helpful persona, be realistic and honest with yourself. Being honest with yourself is important and quite rewarding.

“Be sure that whatever you are is you” -Theodore Roethke

It is so important that you don’t get distracted by what you ain’t. Once you get that right, adopt a character trait you are comfortable with and take off. Confidence conqures, don’t get bewildered by circumstances. However, to keep up a great persona you need to look at things positively. Always smile and one day life will get tired of upsetting you.

“Our persona was not created by accident; It was created in order to camouflage the parts of ourselves we deemed the mosr undesirable and to overcompensate for what we believe to be our deepest flaws” -Debbie Ford

keep confident and don’t compare yourself with others because comparison is the reason of de-motivation. People often compare themselves to others to determine how well they are doing in life and base their personal value on that. In most circumstances comparing yourself with others result to much negativity. Avoid it at all cost.

“Personality begins where comparison leaves off. Be unique. Be memorable. Be confident. Be proud” -Shannon L. Alder

Update your best version day by day and keep yourself more energetic and powerful. To remain energetic, always remebers the reason you started doing something. Then adopt a simple strategy to get you moving with ease. Doing what you love everyday or allocating sometime for particular activities you love doing can keep your spirit up daily. In that way you’ll be able to keep up with the new version of yourself. Also, be a good person and always try to help oters because it’ll also help you to give hapiness.

“It’s not until you develop your own voice, your own persona onstage that you become your own comic, who you really are” – Wanda Sykes
